ENGAGEMENTS
Booking an engagement session can be a daunting decision, but I promise you won’t regret it!
An engagement shoot the perfect way to help you feel more relaxed about having your photo taken. It’s also a great opportunity to meet up and get to know each other before the big day! They are a lot less busy than a wedding day, so it’ll give us time to chat, have a wander around your favourite location and have a laugh in the process. If you are anything like me the last time you had a professional photo taken was at school.
I promise to put you at ease and show you there is nothing to worry about when having your photos taken. Often, I will load a playlist full of your favourite songs and we will head off on a walk. If you would like to get a session booked in, then please drop me an email with your names and chosen location. Don’t worry if you are stuck for where to go, I have lots of wonderful ideas to get your adventure on!
During the session I will gently prompt you where to put your hands and get you moving around so you never feel awkward. Plus, on your big day you will be absolute NATURALS!
Photos from your engagement session can also be used for save the date cards! This allows you to send out unique and personal cards to announce your wedding date. If you are having a guest book at your wedding, why not incorporate a few engagement photos. Your guests will love to look through them before signing it at the wedding. They will also make great gifts for the family at Christmas or birthdays if you are stuck for ideas!

FAQs
Where will you travel for weddings?
Anywhere… I travel all over the UK and internationally for destination weddings. Travel is included for all UK weddings.
What is your style?
My style is natural storytelling documentary photography taken in an unobtrusive way. Celebrating what is unique about you as a couple. I love to capture not just one but several EPIC wedding shots! The photographs you can have on your wall for years to come that capture the spirit and fun of you as a couple. I love dramatic sunsets or twinkling lights under the stars, even in rainy weather I can work with dramatic and moody skies or create cosy winter wonderland vibes.
When can we see our images?
I always send some sneak peak images within 72 hours of your wedding day! The final gallery will be delivered 4 to 6 weeks after your wedding day. When they are ready, I will send you an email with your password to an online gallery where you can download the images and share them with family and friends.
We don't like having our photo taken?
Most couples have said this to me during their pre wedding call but I PROMISE my relaxed and laid-back style will have those worries disappear in no time. I endeavour to capture you at your most comfortable and carefree. I have many tips and tricks up my sleeve to get you laughing and enjoying your day to the absolute MAX! A good time to address this is through booking a pre wedding photoshoot where all of the concerns can be put to bed.
Do we need a second photographer?
I would recommend having a second photographer for any wedding with over 100 guests! Whilst we are off photographing your family and couple portraits, a second photographer will be snapping away your guests as they have the time of their lives! I promise to put you at ease and show you there is nothing to worry about when having your photos taken.
Should we have an engagement shoot?
A pre-wedding/engagement shoot is the perfect way to relax and get to know the feeling of being photographed before your big day. It also gives you the chance to meet me so on your wedding day there is a familiar friendly face you are already comfortable around. Not to mention a collection of beautiful, personal photographs to treasure forever.
Many of my previous clients have used their engagement photos to make ‘save the date’ cards, guest books, thank you cards and used them on their wedding website and socials.
Who owns the copyright to the photos?
As with the majority of wedding photographers in the UK, I own the copyright to the photographs I take during your wedding. You will receive a personal use licence meaning all of the photos taken you will have unlimited personal use. You can post them on social media, share them with friends and family, create albums and have prints made. The only limitation is using the photos for commercial/business use.
Are you insured?
Yes! I am insured with full Public Liability and Indemnity insurance. Some venues may request paperwork, this is not a problem I’m happy to provide my policy documents. No professional photographer would work without insurance, it’s as much for you as it is for them so do not even consider booking with a photographer who isn’t insured.
